The big difference from your thin changing pad/mat is that our changing pad is cushioned thick for baby's comfort and it is attached to a sturdy base. It also has a 4-point safety harness that keeps your baby from rolling while being changed. It will help you during your baby's "alligator rolls" stage 😉

Babies usually roll on their sides and it’s quite impossible to do that on a Chikiroo® because your baby is strapped in with a 4-point harness. Plus, on one side is the parent’s belly and the other side are straps making it quite impossible to roll.

Your hands are always on or near your baby and there’s no way to walk away from them like you might at a typical changing table. Your baby is safe as long as they’re strapped in snugly and correctly. Always follow our instructions and practice using at home before on the go.

Not at all. Chikiroo® is adjustable to your height means no backache from bending down or hunching over like you would if you’re too tall or too short for a typical changing table.

It has a cushioned thick neck pad for comfort and the changing platform is strapped high and tight above the hips with a carrier-type waist belt (just like how you would put on a baby carrier) making it comfortable to use. Furthermore, baby's weight is evenly distributed on the changing platform at equal pressure points thus limiting strain on neck and back.

It helps to know that it only takes 2-3 minutes on average to change a baby with Chikiroo and you can also use it sitting down if needed.

It’s actually quite simple once you have put it on. There’s no need to twist your body awkwardly because everything is within arms reach, including your baby’s lower region. Just like any new baby carrier or sling, we recommend first practicing using it at home so you and your baby can get accustomed to it before heading out.

Chikiroo® Wearable Changing Station has been safety-tested by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission accredited testing lab, Intertek Testing Services (Tianjin) Ltd., to be safely used for babies between 6 lb to 30 lbs or 2.7 kg to 13.6 kg.
